The Friendly Trust is looking for an organised, professional and approachable Administrator to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting the day-to-day operation of the charity while helping us deliver high-quality services to people with learning disabilities and their families.

About us

The Friendly Trust is a Wales-based charity providing specialist information, advice and financial administration services to people with learning disabilities, vulnerable adults and their families. We are committed to promoting independence, protecting rights and supporting people to live the life they choose.

About the role

As the first point of contact for many callers and visitors, you will provide a professional, welcoming and responsive service while supporting colleagues across the organisation. You will help maintain effective administrative systems, manage organisational records and data, support reporting processes and contribute to the smooth running of our office.

Key responsibilities:

  • Managing telephone enquiries and correspondence.
  • Maintaining accurate electronic and paper records.
  • Supporting the production of reports, statistics and monitoring information.
  • Providing administrative support to managers and Trust Officers.
  • Assisting with meetings, training events and organisational activities.
  • Supporting office systems, facilities and resource management.
  • Undertaking routine financial administration duties, including invoice processing.

About you

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has excellent administrative, organisational and customer service skills.
  • Communicates clearly, professionally and sensitively.
  • Is confident using Microsoft 365 and electronic record systems.
  • Has strong attention to detail and can maintain accurate records.
  • Can work independently while contributing positively to a team.
  • Demonstrates empathy and a commitment to supporting vulnerable people.
  • Shares The Friendly Trust’s values and commitment to equality and inclusion.

Experience within the charity, voluntary, health or social care sectors would be advantageous but is not essential.
