Jacquline
Jacquline was referred to The Friendly Trust in December 2025 due to her vulnerability. She had become isolated, rarely leaving her flat, and her support staff were managing her finances informally. Jacquline had also been hiding cash in her home, which increased her risk of harm.
She previously had a Post Office account, but when these accounts were closed, a large amount of her benefit payments were returned. Since The Friendly Trust became her Appointee, we now receive her benefits directly and manage them safely on her behalf.
Jacquline was recently discharged from hospital, during which time her flat was deep cleaned by Social Services and her care agency. We’ve since helped upgrade her home with new white goods and are working with her carers to set up safe and reliable access to grocery shopping and daily essentials.
