If you would like support from The Friendly Trust — or want to find out if we can help someone you know — please complete the form below. We offer free advice and support to help people manage their money and plan for the future.

If you are a Cardiff Council social worker, please use the dedicated referral form for your team.

If you are referring someone else, please try to get their permission first.

Important Information for Professionals

If you are unable to get someone’s permission — for example, because they lack mental capacity — please make sure you have the legal authority to share their personal information with us. If you’re unsure, speak to your manager before proceeding.

It is not lawful for The Friendly Trust — or anyone else — to charge an individual for this type of service unless:

The person has agreed in advance, in writing, at a time when they had mental capacity to do so; or

The Court of Protection has given permission for charges to be made.
