Cardiff Council

The Friendly Trust was formed in 1998 following concerns from parents of people with learning disabilities about their children’s financial futures. With financial support from Cardiff Council, we were established as a company limited by guarantee in July 1998 and achieved charitable status in November 2000.

Cardiff Council continues to fund our work, helping us support vulnerable people across the city. We are extremely grateful for their ongoing support.

Vale of Glamorgan Council

We’ve received funding from Vale of Glamorgan Council for several years to support people with learning disabilities and unpaid carers in the area. Their support has been vital in helping us deliver our services across the Vale.

Torfaen County Borough Council

Thanks to funding from Torfaen County Borough Council, we’ve been able to expand our reach and support more people to achieve financial stability and independence.

Rhondda Cynon Taf County Borough Council

We are grateful to Rhondda Cynon Taf Council for their continued funding, which has enabled us to support more vulnerable adults and young people — particularly during key transitions in their lives.

Monmouthshire County Council

We thank Monmouthshire County Council for funding our services for vulnerable individuals, their families, and carers throughout the county.

Newport City Council

Newport City Council is currently funding The Friendly Trust to deliver our services in the area. We’re grateful for their support and look forward to continuing our collaboration.

North Somerset Council

We are pleased to be working with North Somerset Council, who have supported our work with vulnerable individuals in the region. Their funding helps us provide tailored financial support and planning to those who need it most.
